The Government Should Cancel Christmas

When children misbehave Christmas gets canceled. So what happens when the population misbehaves?

We’ve all been there.

Whenever we did something bad in the weeks leading up to Christmas, our parents always had the threat of canceling it. Obviously, we didn’t want to lose our presents so we were forced to comply.

Just like the episode of Modern Family where Claire notices a cigarette burn on the couch and Phil takes out the Christmas tree until one of their children confesses.

Now, as we are older, our holiday priorities may have shifted from opening presents to time with family, giving gifts, and yes, eating, but we still like to celebrate Christmas.

However, this year, with the pandemic spiking everywhere, Christmas, and especially a safe Christmas, is once again in danger.

A small, but unfortunately still too big part of the population is misbehaving by not following social distancing rules and wearing masks. Just like kids, where one sibling acting up could threaten the Christmas of the whole family, this part of the population is now threatening Christmas for all.

In Modern Family, Alex eventually confesses to smoking a cigarette to save everyone’s Christmas…
